Reece, Lee and Steve man the Axanar booth!
Friday night was quiet at Treklanta, but the full Axanar volunteer crew showed up. Even at a small show like this, it is important to show the flag. We get to create new fans (and donors!) and talk with fans of Axanar and tell them what is coming. I can’t stress enough how important being seen in the community is to developing overall good will. Axanar is a huge hit because we are fans who love Star Trek and believe not only in what we are doing, but in the fact that we can only do this because of fans supporting our vision.
If you are in Atlanta, come by the Marriott and join in the fun. It is a small, but very passionate convention.
Meanwhile in Columbia, MO, Steve Jepson, our very own Admiral Slater in “Prelude to Axanar”, (Who teaches at University of Missouri) took this photo while stopped at a light and wrote me “Apparently you’re famous in Columbia, MO.” The funny thing is, I realized a few months ago that I grew up on Garth Road in Scarsdale, NY!
